France Universities



If you are an International student over the age of 18 and planning to pursue an academic project at a France Universities higher education for a period longer than three months, you must first complete the Campus France application process and then apply for a student visa for Study in France. This process will help them to gain admission in France Universities and Colleges.

Where to apply for France Universities and Colleges Student Visa
The website to apply for the visa is www.campusfrance.org

Process :-
a. How many days prior a student should apply for the student visa for study in France Universities
Your visa appointment at a French consulate must take place no more than 90 days before your departure to France.

Document Checklist for France Universities and Colleges Student Visa  
Document consists of 3 sets:-

SET 1
Passport copy
Complete the Campus France application procedures before starting the visa application procedures on their websits www.campusfrance.org
Make sure to complete the Campus France application (in the PASTEL system), before you start your visa application.
Request a student visa at your assigned French consulate.
Go to the consulate for a visa interview. Your appointment at the consulate should take place at least two weeks before your planned date of departure for France.

SET 2
Proof of your Resources for the tuition fees and living expenses for the period of your stay.

SET 3
Copies of your degrees, diplomas/certificates attested and notarised.


Visa Application Fee for Student Visa to Study in France Universities
Deposit Rs. 8,500/- (in favour INSTITUT FRANCAIS EN INDE, at a BNP PARIBAS branch) by filling a deposit slip available in the bank.

Processing time for visa to study in his choice of France Universities and Colleges

It takes at least five to seven business days for a visa to be granted – or longer, depending on the situation.

English Ability Requirements
IELTS score of 6.0 bands is required for taking an admission in any of the Universities France. Most institutes are comfortable with the level of English and do not necessarily ask for a TOEFL or IELTS for Studies in France (some exceptions exist, especially if they cannot ascertain the level of linguistic competence of the student in a telephonic interview)
